New Statoil contract to Maritime Logistic Services
Maritime Logistic Services (MLS) has secured a new contract with Statoil valued at 31, 5 million NOK.
The contract is for rental of the supply vessel Viking Fighter, and has a duration of 6 months with options of 2 x 3 months. The contract startup is April 1.
Statoil has had Viking Fighter on short contracts since January 2013. Today the supply vessel is sailing for Statoil on Åsgard A and B, and will continue here until mid-May.
MV Viking Fighter is a Clean Design diesel electric PSV (Platform Supply Vessel) with a deck area of 840m2. The vessel is designed with the new hull design developed by STX OSV Design in Ålesund.
"We have received good feedback on Viking Fighter from several operators. The fact that we were selected by Statoil confirms that we have hit the mark with both ship design and the crew from Eidesvik," says general manager of MLS, Tor Sven Slaake.
Both Viking Fighter and MLS are owned 100% by NorSea Group.
