Wind Power Projects
World's first full-scale floating windmill 2.3MW Hywind Statoil assembled at NorSea A/S in Dusavik
The commissioning of the windmill was done at the quayside at the NorSea Supply Base in Dusavik just outside Stavanger. The NorSea Supply Base represents Statoil main supply point for the oil and gas activity in the southern part of the North Sea.
NorSea A/S supplied both equipment and manpower providing the assistant to both Siemens and Technip during the assembly
The substructure had been produced in Finland and towed to Stavanger, were it was filled with water and raised from horizontal to vertical position. This and the commissioning were done near shore, protected from large waves. Three floating-to-floating lifts were used for this. Once the tower, nacelle and blades had been attached, the whole construction was towed into the field where the anchor had been pre-installed.
