At the moment NorSea Group is undertaking it’s to date biggest and most challenging project in connection to the worlds largest subsea pipeline – The Nord Stream gas pipeline in the Baltic Sea.
NORD STREAM - THE WORLDS LARGEST SUBSEA PIPLINE
Nord Stream is a gas pipeline that will link Russia and the European Union via the Baltic Sea. The twin pipelines represent a total length of 2440 kilometres. The Nord Stream pipeline will transport up to 55 billion cubic metres of gas each year, -enough to supply more than 25 million households.
Our work started in 2009 and will be concluded in 2012. The contract comprises the supply of pipe handling equipment, operation and management of the marshalling yards in Karlskrona and Slite, Sweden and Hanko in Finland. We have supplied pipe handling equipment and training of local employed personnel to the coating sites in both Mukran in Germany and Kotka in Finland.

Karlskrona - 30.057 pipes, 192 voyages
Slite Vikhagen - 12.000 pipes, 70 voyages
Slite «Just in Time» consept - 39.110 pipes, 188 voyages
Ship to ship transhipment reduces the need for permanent storage area.
FROM KOTKA TO:
Hanko - 40.125 pipes, 218 voyages
Total transhipments: 121.292 pipes, 668 voyages
P 12 Pipe Line Project.
Tuesday 26.4 we completed the load out for the P 12 Pipeline Project.
In total we have supplied "Solitaire" with 63124mtres / 62659 tonnes.
The Project commenced February 1st with first transhipment from Leith to CCB, Ågotnes
